2 People Injured in Chula Vista DUI Accident on Park Way

CHULA VISTA, CA (January 23, 2022) – Friday morning, authorities arrested a man after a two-vehicle crash on Park Way.

The incident happened at around 10:44 a.m. on Park Way. According to reports, a female driver of the Infinity headed south together with her family. Meanwhile, the Ford’s male driver stopped in front of them from eastbound Park Way.

As a result, the vehicles crashed.

Afterward, the male exited his vehicle and showed agitation while yelling at his vehicle.

When the firefighters and officers arrived, they tended to the victims and investigate the scene.

As the officers questioned the man, he pulled many of his belongings out of the car and refused to answer their questions. His car smelled of marijuana.

According to the man, he wouldn’t answer any more questions and would walk away to go home.

However, the officers urged him to stay and sit down but he declined. Thus, authorities took him into custody, and will go under evaluation for DUI at the Police station.

Also, responders took two female Infinity occupants to a local hospital for minor injuries.

If you find yourself unable to safely operate your vehicle, you can always use a ride share app instead. By doing so, you can help to ensure the safety of yourself and others around you.
