37-Year-Old Everett Man Detained after Monroe Accident on State Route 2 and Chain Lake Road

 
MONROE, WA (August 23, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, authorities arrested a man after a DUI multi-vehicle crash on State Route 2 and Chain Lake Road.
 
The authorities came to the scene at 4:18 p.m., reports revealed. Moreover, it happened on State Route 2 and Chain Lake Road.
 
According to initial reports, others tried to keep a blue Honda Civic from escaping a crash involving three cars.
 
Upon the officers’ arrival, they found a damaged blue Civic that have sped away from the crash. Then, it failed to yield at a red light and then hit two other vehicles until it stopped.
 
Officers confirmed that the 37-year-old Everett man driving the Civic had a “strong odor of intoxicants.” Thus, they took him into custody.
 
Law enforcement added, “alcoholic beverage containers were observed inside the vehicle.”
 
The officers booked the driver into jail for hit-and-run and attempting to elude police.
 
Also, the incident affected traffic in the area for two hours. Meanwhile, officers said that the crash led to no serious injuries.
 
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
