Man Airlifted After Two-Vehicle Accident on I-15 near Joshua Road [Hesperia, CA]

1 Injured in Hesperia Car Crash on I-15

 
HESPERIA, CA (September 9, 2020) – Early Monday morning, responders airlifted a man after a two-vehicle accident on I-15.
 
The incident occurred at 4:51 a.m. on the northbound I-15 between Joshua Road and Main Street.
 
According to reports, the San Bernardino County Firefighters and the California Highway Patrol both came to the scene. Furthermore, upon their arrival, they found the overturned Kia in a ditch and a Honda with minor damage.
 
After extricating the driver, firefighters dispatched a helicopter to transported the injured to a trauma center.
 
When the Mercy Air helicopter landed at the scene, the authorities temporarily closed all northbound lanes.
 
Meanwhile, the Honda driver revealed that he was driving home when he started feeling sleepy. Thus, the crash occurred.
 
“I just hope the man is going to be ok,” the Honda driver said. “The guy was talking, but he was in pain.”
 
The authorities confirmed that the Honda driver was uninjured. Also, he stayed at the crash scene and helped with officials.
 
At this time, the police do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Furthermore, the California Highway Patrol – Victorville Station handles the crash investigation.
