Man in 70’s Injured in Mangrove Avenue Motorcycle Collision [Chico, CA]

Chico, CA (Aug 4, 2023) – At about 1:10 p.m. on Thursday, a man in his 70’s was injured in a Mangrove Avenue motorcycle collision.

Police said the man was driving a northbound motorcycle on Mangrove Avenue when he collided with a female in her 80s who was southbound on the same road. 

Apparently, the woman was trying to make a left turn when the accident unfolded.

Investigating officers said both rivers had green lights, however, the female driver failed to yield and turned left in front of the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist incurred major injuries. He was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
