Texas DPS Investigates Milam County Deadly Collision
Milam County, TX (March 23, 2023) – On Tuesday, 22-year-old Mallory Shaw of Hampstead, North Carolina, lost her life in a disastrous vehicle collision on FM 485.
The fatal head-on collision took place at about 6:30 a.m. east of Yarrelton.
According to Texas DPS, a 2016 Chevrolet 2500 pickup towing a trailer was eastbound when a westbound 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage slammed into it head-on.
Investigating officers said the 30-year-old pickup driver tried to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone and swerved into the Mirage.
Mallory Shaw was in the front passenger seat. Unfortunately, she died in the accident.
Meanwhile, the Texas DPS reminds drivers they may not drive on the left side of the road in a no-passing zone.
