Person Killed in Temple Avenue Crash
Long Beach, CA (October 14, 2022) – On Thursday, a male pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway.
The authorities responded to the crash scene at about 8:30 p.m. in the area of Temple Avenue.
“Upon arrival, officers located a male adult pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle that had fled the scene of the collision,” officers said.
Immediately, the emergency rescuers rushed the man to a hospital, where he died. The authorities withheld his name pending notification of kin.
A westbound Chevrolet struck the pedestrian who was crossing the Pacific Coast Highway in a southeastern direction outside of any crosswalk west of Temple Avenue.
The involved vehicle is a black Chevrolet SUV.
In the meantime, officers are investigating the Temple Avenue crash.
