Man Severely Injured in State Route 168 DUI Hit-And-Run Crash

 
Fresno, CA (January 2, 2021) – Early Friday morning, a male passenger sustained severe injuries in a DUI hit-and-run crash on westbound State Route 168.
 
The Fresno crash happened at around 3:30 a.m on January 1, west of Shaw Avenue.
 
CHP says the Honda driver was driving the wrong way on the highway and lost control when she hit the dirt center median.
 
As a result, the Honda crashed into the concrete center dividing wall, became airborne, and rolled over.
 
The responding CHP and EMS found an injured passenger but could not locate the unidentified female driver. They immediately transported him to the hospital.
 
Police said alcohol played a role in this collision.
 
Further, investigators continue the investigation to locate the female driver.
