Injury in Fatal Collision North of Palmdale Road
Victorville, CA (February 7, 2023) – On Monday, a male driver died while the authorities arrested a female driver in a DUI crash on Interstate 15.
The authorities received the crash report at 7:15 p.m. on the northbound freeway north of Palmdale Road East.
The Victorville Fire Department, AMR, and CHP immediately responded to the scene and found the male driver of the truck under the Chevy sedan. The authorities declared him at the scene.
Investigators said the male driver was outside of the truck changing a tire under the Palmdale Road overpass when a vehicle struck him.
The truck’s rear passenger-side tire was on a jack and a tire was nearby. Reports said the truck was loaded with bricks.
Moreover, the woman driving the Chevy sedan stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Officers later arrested her on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Officers pulled at least one beer can out from her purse.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal collision north of Palmdale Road.
