CLOVIS, CA (September 28, 2020) – On Sunday morning, a man riding a bike was struck in on Ashlan Avenue and Willow Avenue in Clovis.
 
The authorities received a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian at 12:57 a.m. According to Lt. Jim Munro, the incident happened on West Ashlan Avenue, just east of Willow Avenue.
 
When the officers arrived at the scene, they located the unresponsive man.
 
Reports confirmed that the crash happened while the 55-year-old man pushed a bicycle on the roadway. The driver remained at the scene and helped with the investigation.
 
Meanwhile, Munro revealed that they later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
As of this time, the authorities haven’t clarified whether alcohol played a role in the crash. Moreover, the officers clarified that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
