91-Year-Old Bicyclist Dies in Vehicle Crash on San Juan Grade in Salinas

Salinas, AZ (September 9, 2021) – On Friday, a  91-year-old male bicyclist died after a crash on San Juan Grade.

The fatal crash in Salinas happened o September 3, near Boronda Road.

Salinas Police said the male bicyclist suddenly turned directly into the path of a vehicle approaching from behind him. 

EMS took the victim to Natividad Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators said the driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the police. Drugs or alcohol were not involved in this collision.

Further investigation is ongoing.
