Vehicle Overturns in Head-On Crash on Highway 178

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 22, 2019) – Motorists sustained major injuries in a rollover crash on Highway 178, Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place near 47th Street at approximately 2:59 PM. Based on an initial report, a silver car and a gray pickup truck collided head-on. One of the vehicles overturned and landed on its roof. It was not yet confirmed if the two motorcycles found near the scene were involved in the commotion.
 
The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. They recorded major injuries sustained by the involved motorists.
 
Clearing operations took place in the area. The cause and events leading up to the collision were not disclosed to the public. In addition, the police did not release any other information regarding the accident at this time. However, officials continue to investigate the accident.
