Four Vehicles Involved in Crash on 680 Freeway

 
WALNUT CREEK, CA (June 29, 2019) – Major injuries sustained in a multi-car crash on southbound 680 Freeway, Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at westbound Highway 24. It happened at approximately 5:35 PM. Based on reports, four vehicles involved in the pile-up. The parties identified as a gray Jeep SUV, a white Dodge pickup truck, a black Hyundai, and an unknown car.
 
The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. They confirmed that two people suffered head injuries in the incident.
 
The sedan found with major front-end damage. No. 2 and 3 lanes closed while rescue and clearing operations were conducted in the area.
 
It is not yet clear in what circumstance the pile-up occurred. An investigation by the authorities is on-going.
