BYRON, CA (July 2, 2019) – People sustained major injuries in a head-on crash on Byron Highway, Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place near the intersection of Holey Road around 5:37 PM. Based on an initial report, a white SUV and a black SUV crashed head-on. One vehicle landed in a ditch near the right hand shoulder.
 
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They recorded major injuries sustained by the involved motorists.
The roadway was shut down while rescue and clearing operations were conducted by first responders.
 
Furthermore, the crash is still currently under investigation.
