One Hospitalized after Major Accident near San Diego Street

 
LA PRESA, CA (March 29, 2019) – Major injuries were sustained in a car accident in the 9800 block of Jamacha Boulevard, Friday morning.
 
According to authorities, the collision took place at approximately 7:35 AM. Officers arrived near the intersection of San Diego Street soon after.
 
Based on an initial report, a Honda Accord crashed into a fence for unknown reasons. It was not immediately clear if other vehicles were involved.
 
The paramedics were quickly requested for needed medical attention. The driver was found suffering from major injures as a result of the impact. Due to the extent of his wounds, he was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
 
Assessments indicated that an estimated 50 feet of fence was knocked down amidst the collision. Crews conducted clearing and cleaning operations at the scene. The surrounding area was closed for a brief time, but eventually reopened.
 
Furthermore, an investigation is currently ongoing to identify the manner and the cause of the accident. No further details have been made available at this time.
