Two Vehicles Involved in Collision near Mason Street

 
VACAVILLE, CA (March 14, 2019) – Major damages were sustained in a car crash Thursday morning, on westbound 80 Freeway. The victims were not identified.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at 5:06 AM. First responders arrived just west of the Mason Street on-ramp soon after.
 
Based on an initial report, two vehicles were involved in the auto accident. Only one of them was identified as a dark green pickup-truck. Details on what caused the collision are currently unclear, however the truck was found facing the wrong way upon medics arrival.
 
Furthermore, state officials say a man was seen in the right shoulder limping and holding his head. The paramedics were requested for further medical attention. The current condition of the injured victim has not been updated.
 
Both vehicles involved acquired major damages due to the impact. The No. 3 and 4 lanes were closed while rescue, clearing and cleaning operations were conducted in the area.
 
An investigation is ongoing to identify the cause of the accident and to determine liabilities. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
