Male Pedestrian Critically Injured in Traffic Accident near Sunset Road

San Diego, CA (March 17, 2023) – On Wednesday evening, a pedestrian crash on Valley Center Road sent a man to the hospital with major injuries.

The CHP says that the traffic accident happened around 7:45 p.m. near Sunset Road. Officials say that a 26-year-old woman driving an eastbound Volkswagen Jetta struck a man walking on the eastbound lane.

First responders rushed the man to a hospital in the area to receive treatment for major, life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say that the female driver was not injured due to the collision, she stayed at the scene and was not showing signs of impairment.

Moreover, CHP is investigating the pedestrian crash and have not provided further details on the incident.
