I-80 Single-Vehicle Crash Kills Utah Woman
Elko, NV (August 19, 2022) – On August 6, Maggie Bringhurst, 23, of Logan, UT, sustained fatal injuries in a rollover crash on Interstate 80.
The authorities responded to the crash scene at about 1:42 p.m. approximately eight miles east of Winnemucca.
According to the authorities who investigated the crash, a westbound Toyota 4runner SUV was traveling in the left lane. Suddenly, the driver drove to the left side of the road through the center median.
The driver overcorrected the vehicle to the right. As a result, the vehicle overturned across the freeway.
Sadly, Maggie Bringhurst, the passenger, lost her life at the scene.
The driver, on the other hand, did not sustain injuries from the collision.
“Impairment is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash,” the NSP stated.
In the meantime, the officers are investigating the cause of the I-80 single-vehicle crash.
