Madison Avenue Traffic Collision Hurt 37-Year-Old Scooter Rider [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (August 19, 2022) On Wednesday, a 37-year-old man on a motorized scooter suffered injuries in a traffic collision in the 1900 block o Madison Avenue.

San Diego Police Department says that the truck-scooter collision happened at around 4:45 near the west alley of the 4600 block of Florida Street.

Reports say that a 57-year-old man on a Ram 350 truck turned right to Florida Street and then struck the westbound scooter rider on the bicycle lane of Madison Avenue.

Moreover, the scooter hit the right front quarter panel of the truck, the collision caused an open compound fracture of the rider’s wrist.

Paramedics transported the 37-year-old rider to a hospital.

Police say that the Ram driver did not sustain injuries.
