LVMPD Officer on Duty Involved in Hit-and-Run Crash on Spring Mountain Road
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 31, 2019) – A LVMPD officer hospitalized after a crash on Spring Mountain Road, early Wednesday evening.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision took place near Arville Street at approximately 6:30 PM. Based on an initial report, the victim was on a motorcycle trying to stop another motorcycle at the intersection. The other subject tried to escape and collided with the officer.
The officer fell off his motorcycle, while the other rider left the scene. The paramedics took the victim to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
The hit-and-run suspect was only identified as a man who fled on foot. An investigation is ongoing.
