Luis Sosa Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash on Glenoaks Boulevard [PACOIMA, CA]

Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested in Deadly Pedestrian Crash at Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street

 
PACOIMA, CA (February 6, 2020) – A man died in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash Thursday evening in Pacoima.
 
The crash happened around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street.
 
According to police, a male pedestrian was crossing within an unmarked crosswalk when a new model burgundy SUV struck him. The SUV then fled the scene and headed eastbound on 118 Freeway.
 
The victim, identified as 44-year-old Luis Sosa, died at the scene.
 
A good Samaritan followed the SUV and obtained a license plate.
 
Police later recovered the vehicle and arrested the suspect.
 
This fatal incident is still under investigation.
