Deadly Bakersfield Van Accident on Highway 65 Leaves Luis Raya Dead

 
Bakersfield, CA (November 26, 2020) – On Wednesday, Luis Fidel Mena Raya and Guadalupe Roman lost their lives in a deadly rollover crash on Highway 65.
 
The fatal Bakersfield accident happened around 10:02 p.m. north of Meadows Field Airport.
 
Apparently, a Chrysler minivan, driven by Jacob Johnson, and a Nissan Pathfinder crashed head-on.
 
California Highway Patrol said the Chrysler driver drifted into the northbound lane, while the Nissan driver, Luis Raya, could not avoid the crash.
 
Authorities pronounced the two drivers and the Nissan passenger, Guadalupe Roman, dead at the scene.
 
Police said both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, and the passenger was not.
 
 
Moreover, CHP isn’t sure if alcohol or drugs played a role in the Highway 65 crash.
 
Meanwhile, traffic crews closed both north and southbound lanes of Highway 65 at James Road due to the investigation.
