LA MESA, CA (December 11, 2019) – A 29-year-old man died in a car crash on Parkway Drive on December 2.
 
According to reports, Luis Osborne struck a tree while trying to escape from patrol officers. Reports about the incident came before 12:50 a.m. The report stated that a fight started in an apartment complex in the 7700 block of Parkway Drive, west of Baltimore Drive.
 
Lt. Brian Stoney revealed that one of the suspects fled from the scene. When the officers arrived, they noticed a speeding red Nissan heading westbound on Parkway Drive. However, the driver, Osborne, did not stop. As a result, he lost control of the car and crashed into a tree on Parkway Drive, near Maryland Avenue.
 
The impact ended the life of Luis Osborne of San Diego.
 
Authorities suspect that alcohol played a role in the crash. They also found several open alcoholic beverage containers in and around the vehicle.
