Big Rig Driver Luis Jimenez Injured in Highway 99 Fatal Crash [Red Bluff, CA]

Red Bluff, CA (May 2, 2025) – A 2024 Freightliner driver, Luis Jimenez, was injured in a Highway 99 fatal crash Thursday morning.

It was around 8:33 a.m. on May 1 when the deadly collision happened at Riverside Avenue.

According to the Red Bluff Office of the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 8:53 a.m. Thursday morning

Troopers said a white Lexus ES300 was traveling north when it drifted into the southbound lane and crashed onto a 2024 Freightliner driven by Luis Jimenez. 

The collision impacted the left front side of the Lexus and the left rear wheels of the big rig.

Sadly, the Lexus driver was killed in the collision, while Jimenez sustained minor injuries. 

The authorities withheld the identity of the Lexus driver pending next of kin notification.
