SANTA ANA, CA (July 1, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered injuries Friday evening after a hit-and-run driver identified as Lucio Luna, struck him on West 1st Street.

Authorities responded to the collision around 10:37 p.m., on West 1st Street. According to reports, the man was crossing in a marked crosswalk at the time. There, an eastbound dark-colored Toyota Camry struck him.

Officers found the victim down in the roadway with a faint pulse and slow breathing. Police officers reacted with haste and performed CPR on the injured victim.

Orange County Fire Department arrived to transport him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, there has been no update on his current condition.

The driver of the vehicle was nowhere on site. However, police issued a news release Saturday morning describing the hit-and-run vehicle with possible severe damage to the front-end.
