Lucia Trejo Perishes in Pedestrian Accident at South Victoria Avenue and Telephone Road

 
VENTURA, CA (March 26, 2019) – A 54-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries following Sunday’s pedestrian accident at South Victoria Avenue and Telephone Road.
 
Around 1:25 a.m., police found Lucia Trejo, a homeless woman, with grave injuries. Just moments prior, a driver struck her under unknown circumstances.
 
Paramedics immediately brought the victim to Ventura County Medical Center where she died.
 
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. In their investigation, police ruled out impairment as a contributing factor, yet a follow-up investigation continues.
