LOS ANGELES, CA – One Injured in Big Rig Crash on 5 Freeway at North Main Street

Big Rig Crashes Center Divider on 5 Freeway in Los Angeles, Injuries Reported

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 3, 2019) – At least one person was injured following a traffic collision with a big rig early Friday morning on southbound 5 Freeway at North Main Street.
 
CHP received a report of an accident involving a bobtail truck that went on top of the center divider around 4:04 a.m.
 
Officers arrived on the scene and found a damaged center divider and the big rig on top of it. A gray van was also located blocking the middle lane, unknown if it was involved.
 
At least one patient suffered head injuries as a result of the accident. Paramedics took the individual to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. Authorities are looking further into the accident.
