LOS ANGELES, CA – One Hospitalized in Three-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway at Whittier Boulevard

Injuries Reported in Afternoon 3-Vehicle Wreck on 5 Freeway in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 15, 2019) – One person was hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on 5 Freeway in Los Angeles.
 
The crash happened around 2:36 p.m. along the southbound lanes of 5 Freeway at Whittier Boulevard.
 
According to the CHP, a gray Chevrolet Spark, a white pickup truck and a red Toyota Tacoma were involved. A female passenger in one of the vehicles was reportedly pregnant.
 
The Los Angeles Fire Department requested an ambulance unit to the scene. One patient was then transported to White Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
There were no descriptions of any vehicular damages but the Toyota Tacoma was towed away from the crash site.
 
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol have played a role in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
