Katherine Nutter Involved in Bicycle-Vehicle Collision on Tuolumne Road near Pine Street
TUOLUMNE, CA (May 17, 2018) – A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured in when his bike went into the path of an oncoming car, early Thursday evening.
The crash occurred around 5:15 PM on Tuolumne Road, just west of Pine Street. Katherine Nutter, 53, of Sonora, was driving a 2006 Kia westbound as the teenage boy rode his BMX-style bike north across Tuolumne Road. The two collided with one another.
The bicyclist, identified as Logan Garner, was hit by the front bumper and thrown onto the hood and windshield of the car. Garner then fell to the ground according to Officer Faustino Pulido of the Sonora-area office of the California Highway Patrol. The boy was not wearing a helmet and sustained major injuries. Garner was rushed to the children’s hospital at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento by air ambulance. There is no update on his current condition.
