Lisbet Flores Accidentally Struck Two Girls in Sonoma Highway Accident

 
Sonoma, CA (February 19, 2021) – On Sunday, 40-year-old Lisbet Flores of Sonoma accidentally struck and injured two 12-year-old girls in a pedestrian accident on Sonoma Highway.
 
The traffic crash happened at about 1:40 p.m. at the Verano Avenue intersection on State Route 12.
 
Flores was driving a 2016 Lexus NX200T westbound onto State Route 12 when she accidentally struck the girls.
 
Apparently, she was trying to turn left from Verano Avenue when the accident happened.
 
Furthermore, the report indicates the victims were crossing Sonoma Highway in the crosswalk between Palms Cafe and McDonald’s.
 
Authorities said it is unknown if the victims were crossing against the light at the time.
 
Meanwhile, Flores remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Officers did not cite Flores. Also, they do not see drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the accident, though they are still investigating the crash.
 
Moreover, one of the juveniles suffered major injuries and the other minor injuries. Rescuers transported them to Santa Rosa Memorial by Sonoma Valley Fire ambulance.
 
Only cross the street on designated marked crosswalks.
