Dan Fallis and Others Injured in Fatal Crash North of Diener Drive
Lake County, CA (January 18, 2023) – On Sunday, Lisa McCuan, 40, of Clearlake, died, while Dan Fallis, 51, also of Clearlake, and others, were injured in a Highway 29 head-on collision.
The fatal traffic incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. north of Diener Drive, wherein two vehicles were involved.
Investigating officers said Lisa McCuan was driving a Toyota Highlander with two passengers north on freeway.
At the same time, Dan Fallis was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 south on the same freeway.
When both of their vehicles reached north of Diener Drive, Fallis drove the Dodge over two solid yellow lines. He drove into the northbound lane and collided head-on with McCuan’s SUV.
Unfortunately, Lisa McCuan sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Moreover, Dan Fallis and a 16-year-old Toyota passenger incurred major injuries and were rushed to Adventist Health Clear Lake in Clearlake. Similarly, another Toyota passenger sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport.
CHP do not consider drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash north of Diener Drive. They are investigating the cause of the crash.
