Ojai Resident Lisa Marie Hester Dies in N Ventura Avenue Accident [Ojai, CA]

Ojai, CA (August 1, 2024) – 44-year-old Lisa Marie Hester of Ojai was killed in a N Ventura Avenue accident Wednesday morning.

It was about 7 a.m. when the fatal collision happened near the intersection with Villanova Road.

Troopers said a southbound driver ran a red light and struck Hester while crossing the southwest corner of the road.

The impact of the collision sent Hester in a dirt culvert. 

Immediately, the medical rescuers provided CPR to the victim and took her to Ventura County Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The involved driver remained at the crash scene and officers stated that neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected in the accident.

Moreover, the authorities did not issue citations to the driver, and he was not arrested.
