1 Dead in Phoenix Auto Accident on 64th Street and Mayo Boulevard

PHOENIX, AZ (February 13, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, Lisa Hughs Etling died in a brutal vehicle crash on 64th Street and Mayo Boulevard.

The incident happened at about 4:43 0.m. in 64th Street and Mayo Boulevard.

Upon officers’ arrival, they located a woman, later identified as 59-year-old Etling with serious injuries. Firefighters came to the scene and attempted to give lifesaving treatment. However, Etling succumbed to her injuries. 

Investigators determined that Etling was traveling east on Mayo Boulevard when he attempted a left turn onto 64th Street, colliding with a westbound vehicle.

The other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
