Vehicle Hits Pole in Crash on Kelly Ridge Road

 
OROVILLE, CA (June 27, 2019) – A light pole crashed down in a hit-and-run crash on Kelly Ridge Road, Thursday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place near Galaxy Avenue. It happened at approximately 9:05 PM. Based on an initial report, a pickup truck was reckless driving before it crashed against the pole. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene afterward. A witness reported that the white male adult suspect had been drinking before he took the vehicle from its owner.
 
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They reported that no injury sustained in the commotion.
 
The pole crashed down and on fire when the authorities arrived. An investigation is still currently ongoing to verify all initial data. However, additional information will be released once it becomes available.
