Leticia Jimenez Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 in Fresno

Leticia Jimenez Strikes, Kills Woman Crossing Highway 99 Near West Olive Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (January 22, 2019) – A female pedestrian was killed Monday morning after she was hit by a northbound vehicle on Highway 99 near the West Olive Avenue off-ramp.
 
The incident happened when 40-year-old Leticia Jimenez was approaching the Olive Avenue off-ramp at speeds of about 60 mph when an unidentified pedestrian attempted to cross from the eastbound shoulder. Jimenez, who was unable to avoid the crash, struck the woman in the right-hand lane.
 
The pedestrian was killed in the crash and her identity will be released by the Fresno County coroner once the next of kin has been notified.
 
An investigation of the crash is underway.
