Bakersfield, CA (March 17, 2023) Early Thursday morning, a pedestrian crash on Wible Road and Wood Lane killed a man.

According to the CHP, the fatal crash happened near Valley Plaza Mall just after 4:00 a.m.

Reports say that a vehicle fatally struck the pedestrian.

Officials from the Bakersfield Fire Department pronounced the man dead. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with authorities.

Authorities are investigating the deadly pedestrian crash and have not released additional information at this time.
