Woman in Custody after Phoenix Fatal Vehicle Accident near 9th Street and Grovers Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (March 23, 2023) – Monday morning, authorities arrested Leslie Yeager after a devastating crash near 9th Street and Grovers Avenue.

The incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. near 9th Street and Grovers Avenue.

According to reports, a vehicle struck another vehicle with a pregnant woman on board that was attempting to make a left turn. Then, the suspect vehicle fled the scene and drove into a 7-Eleven.

Moreover, responders rushed the pregnant woman to a hospital where the unborn baby was pronounced dead. Also, a second woman was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

Furthermore, officers located and arrested the female driver of the causing vehicle, 39-year-old Leslie Yeager. She’s currently facing charges for DUI, manslaughter, one count of leaving an accident, one count of aggravated assault, one count of endangerment, and one count of aggravated assault on an officer.
