Man Collapses on Highway 3 and is Run Over by Passing Car Near Division Avenue
BREMERTON, WA (January 22, 2018) – A 52-year-old man was struck and killed by a car on Route 3 near Division Avenue around 5:19 on Tuesday evening.
The victim was identified by WSP as Leroy A. Hunter of Bremerton. According to reports, the man was involved in a non-injury two-car collision, when he came out of his car and collapsed for unknown reasons.
A 2014 Chrysler 200 sedan that was traveling south on Highway 3, passed by and hit Hunter while he was lying in the road. There was no citation for the 65-year-old woman from Allyn that was driving the car.
The fatal crash continues to be under investigation by Troopers in the Washington State Patrol.
