Male Passenger Killed in Disastrous Solo-Vehicle Accident on State Route 161
Las Vegas, NV (December 2, 2023) On Monday, November 18, 25-year-old Leovigildo Morales Gomes of Las Vegas, was killed in a brutal rollover crash on SR 161.
According to Nevada State Police, the solo-vehicle accident happened around 9:49 p.m. along State Route 161 east of mile marker 4.
Reports say that an eastbound Jeep Wrangler veered off its lane and collided with a sign, then entered an embankment, rotated and ultimately overturned.
Both occupants, the driver and Gomes, a passenger in the vehicle, were ejected off the Jeep.
Officials pronounce Gomes dead at the scene, no information about the driver was made available at this time.
NSP is investigating the fatal solo-vehicle accident.
