FM 874 Two-Vehicle Collision Results in Fatality
Winkler County, TX (February 8, 2023) – On February 4, Leonardo Belone, 53, of New Mexico, sustained fatal injuries following a vehicle crash on Highway 302.
Authorities said a 2016 Kenworth truck with a trailer was westbound on H 302. At the same time, a 2016 Jeep Cherokee, the vehicle Belone was a passenger in, was southbound on FM 874.
The Jeep driver failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and the Kenworth truck struck the Jeep.
Moreover, the Kenworth truck driver did not sustain injuries from the collision.
On the other hand, the Jeep driver was rushed to Winkler County Hospital in serious condition.
