Theresa Nguyen and Kelly Corey Injured in Deadly Las Vegas Crash
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 21, 2019) – A man died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Las Vegas.
The fatal crash happened just before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Buffalo Drive and Peak Drive, near Cheyenne Avenue.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, a 2004 Lincoln Navigator was traveling north on Buffalo Drive when it struck another vehicle exiting a private drive.
As a result, the Lincoln driver suffered a blunt neck injury and died at the hospital. The Clark County Coroner’s office identified him as 56-year-old Lee Cummings of Las Vegas. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the other vehicle, 23-year-old Theresa Nguyen, was transported to UMC Trauma with moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, the passenger of the Navigator, 45-year-old Kelly Corey, sustained minor injuries.
Officials closed the intersection for several hours while they worked on the scene.
Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
