1 Killed in Santa Fe Springs Pedestrian Accident on Sorensen Avenue

 
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (July 11, 2021) – Wednesday night, Laurie Haynes was arrested after a fatal pedestrian crash on Sorensen Avenue.
 
According to Whittier police Sgt. Glenn Hedgpeth, the incident happened at around 10:34 p.m. Moreover, it occurred in the 8700 block of Sorensen Avenue.
 
Furthermore, coroner’s officials described the victim as a male pedestrian in his 60’s. The identity of the man was unknown yet as of this time.
 
Meanwhile, authorities located a sport-utility vehicle and the suspect at Telegraph Road and Alburtis Avenue.
 
Moreover, officials booked 42-year-old Laurie Haynes at Whittier Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run with a bail of $50,000.
 
The authorities continue to investigate the crash,
