NYE COUNTY, NV (March 29, 2021) – On Saturday, Lauren Starcevich, Michael Durmeier, and his daughter Georgia died in a crash on US 95.
According to Nevada DOT, the fatal crash occurred near Scotty’s Junction.
Additionally, at around 5:09 p.m., all lanes of US 95 were blocked at mile marker 99.
Furthermore, all roads reopened around 2:57 a.m., Nye County Sheriff’s Office said.
Later reports confirmed that three members of a Teton Valley family died in the Highway 95 crash.
Apparently, the Victor, East Idaho residents rode on US 95, headed for a spring break vacation, when a DUI driver crashed into them head-on.
Lauren Starcevich, Michael Durmeier, and Mr. Durmeier’s daughter Georgia did not survive the collision.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the other two other children in the car, Durmeier’s son Jackson and Starcevich’s daughter Emerson, to a Las Vegas hospital.
Upon news of the fatal crash, Josh Myers, Emerson’s father, arrived to Las Vegas from Teton Valley, Idaho.
Six-year-old Emerson, a student at Driggs Elementary, was subsequently released from the hospital on Monday. Ultimately, she only seemed to sustain a fractured wrist.
Moreover, Chelsea Roberts, Jackson and Georgia’s mother, also arrived to the Nevada hospital to see her children.
As of Monday, her son, a student at Rendezvous Upper Elementary, remained in the trauma center.
