Laura Sanders Killed in Deadly Crash on SE 3rd Avenue [Amarillo, TX]

Injuries Reported in Fatal Crash on Buchanan Street

Amarillo, TX (March 20, 2023) On Saturday evening, 42-year-old Laura Sanders died after a fatal 2-vehicle crash on SE 3rd Avenue.

Officials say that the deadly crash happened at about 7 p.m. at the intersection with Buchanan Street.

Reports say that an eastbound GMC Pickup ran a red light and struck the Ford sedan Sanders was driving.

Medics rushed Sanders to a hospital, where she, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the GMC driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Authorities are investigating the deadly crash on SE 3rd Avenue and have not released further information at this time.
