Lashonda Figg Dead in Vehicle Crash on 92nd Avenue [Oakland, CA]

Oakland, CA (February 25, 2025) – Lashonda Figg, a 50-year-old Antioch woman, was killed following a vehicle crash on 92nd Avenue late Monday night.

The fatal crash happened past 11 p.m. at the intersection with San Leandro Street.

According to the officers, Figg was speeding east on San Leandro Street when she crossed westbound into the traffic lane and collided with a GMC Yukon and BART cement pillar.

The rescuers rushed Figg to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The Yukon driver, a 40-year-old Oakland man, suffered minor injuries and is in stable condition.

Meanwhile, the authorities are investigating if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
