1 Hurt in Los Angeles Car Crash

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 24, 2019) – A LAPD Officer went to the hospital after a car crash near DeSoto Avenue on September 22.
 
According to reports, a car crashed with a marked police vehicle with its lights and sirens running near the border of Canoga Park and Winnetka.
 
The incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. near DeSoto Avenue and Vanowen Street, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Eric Eppolito revealed. An LAPD supervisor drove alone and responded to a request for backup when the department’s vehicle got hit.
 
The impact left the patrol car’s passenger side smashed inward. Its side view mirror also dangled from a damaged front door. Officials said that the crash is “a good reminder to slow down & look out for emergency vehicles.”
 
Meanwhile, responders transported the LAPD supervisor to a hospital for evaluation. He’s been released.
