LAPD Officer Injured in Motorcycle Crash on 110 Freeway [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (May 19, 2025) – An LAPD officer was injured in a motorcycle crash on 110 Freeway early Sunday morning.

It was around 1 a.m. when the traffic accident happened near 3rd Street.

Investigators said the officer struck a van that had stalled on the side of the highway. 

A dashcam in another vehicle was able to capture the officer skidding for several feet before coming to a stop while the motorcycle continued tumbling across multiple lanes.

Immediately, the rescuers rushed the officer to the hospital with minor injuries. He is expected to recover.

Police arrested the van driver but later let released him. His van was towed.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
