Damage Recorded in Collision near Western Avenue
GARDENA, CA (September 6, 2018) – Lanes were closed early Thursday morning, following a two-vehicle crash on 405 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 6:28 AM, just south of Western Avenue. Reports showed that a trailer from a black Toyota pickup truck came off from the southbound lane to the northbound lane hitting a red Tesla in the process.
The cause of the incident and events leading up to the crash are not yet known at this time. An ambulance was requested for needed medical attention, but it is unclear how many people were injured and the extent of their injuries.
Debris was seen scattered in the northbound side blocking the carpool (HOV) lane, No. 1 and 2 lanes. Additional information will be released following the conclusion of the investigation.
