Landis Gibbs Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Domenigoni Parkway

Hemet, CA (August 25, 2020) – On Monday, 35-year-old transient Landis Gibbs died after being struck by a vehicle on Domenigoni Parkway near Warren Road.

Reports say Gibbs was walking along the shoulder of Domenigoni Parkway when a vehicle struck him at about 2:30 a.m.

Authorities describe the vehicle that hit the victim to be dark in color.

Subsequently, rescuers found Gibbs’ body lying on the north shoulder of the four-lane corridor.

Apparently, the driver did not stop to give the victim aid, and fled the scene.

Moreover, authorities are still investigating the identity of the hit-and-run driver.

Additionally, the Domenigoni Parkway was closed between Warren and Sanderson Avenue for four hours while authorities are investigating the accident.
