Lance French and Buffy French Struck in Sonora Accident, Shawn Harris Arrested

 
Sonora, CA (January 13, 2021) – On Monday, a couple was injured, while authorities arrested 41-year-old Shawn Harris in a pedestrian accident on South Washington Street.
 
The accident happened at around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Gold Street.
 
The Sonora Police Department said a man and a woman were struck by a 2005 Dodge Neon while crossing the road.
 
Immediately, responders took the married couple to an area hospital for moderate injuries.
 
Investigators said Harris was under the influence of alcohol while he was driving.
 
Also, officers located controlled substances and drug paraphernalia as they searched his vehicle.
 
They arrested Harris on felony DUI charges as well as drug charges. Then, they booked him at the Tuolumne County Jail on $25,000 bail.
