Young Married Couple and Grandma Visiting from Mexico City Fatally Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash

 
LANCASTER, CA (January 11, 2018) – A fatal car crash took place on Thursday afternoon around 12:02 PM on the intersection of Challenger Way and East Avenue J8.
 
The two cars involved were a silver four door sedan and a blue four door sedan. Going eastbound, the Silver vehicle ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into the blue vehicle.
 
Officials arrived at the scene to find the blue car in the dirt field adjacent to the intersection with a significant amount of damage and its top completely off. Occupants of the blue sedan, a young married couple in their 20s and their Grandmother visiting from Mexico City in her 60s, were pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Four males were inside the silver sedan with unidentified injuries. They were transported to a local hospital, and were reported to be in stable condition.
 
Names of the deceased victims and the others involved in the crash have not yet been released. Investigation is undergoing for further details and the cause of the incident.
